Becoming a Member
* To become a voting member of IHC/UNA, it is necessary to pay annual dues to IHC/UNA according to the published schedule of the Organization. A portion of these dues equivalent to the annual dues of the National UNA-USA will be passed on to the UNA-USA, making that voting member simultaneously a member of the National UNA-USA. The privileges of being a voting member include receiving all mailings and newsletters of the local and national Organizations, participation in all Organization activities, voting on any business issues of the Organization, and standing for and serving as an officer or official representative of IHC/UNA.
* Alternatively, any resident of lower Fairfield County, Connecticut, defined as Greenwich, Stamford, New Canaan, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, Wilton and Weston, may pay dues to national UNA-USA and thus automatically become a member of IHC/UNA, unless the member selects a different chapter with which to affiliate. IHC/UNA receives a portion of those dues.
* Conversely, a member of the national UNA-USA who resides outside lower Fairfield County, Connecticut, may elect to affiliate with the Southwestern Connecticut Chapter (IHC-FC) rather than a Chapter in the member's own geographical area, by informing the IHC/UNA membership committee of their intention either electronically or in writing.
As a member of IHC-FC and UNA-USA you will receive:
* A subscription to the UNA-USA journal, The InterDependent
* A new member kit, full of current world affairs information
* The ability to actively participate in your UNA-USA Chapter special events
* A key role in the decision-making process for achieving Millennium Dev. Goals
